What is the difference between John Masters Organics and John Masters Naturals?

Our John Masters Organics line comprises products with 70% or more organic content. Meanwhile, our Naturals range includes products with organic ingredients but doesn't reach the 70% threshold. Across both lines, we uphold stringent standards, banning over 1500 harmful ingredients, including silicones, parabens, phthalates, synthetic substances, sulfates, artificial fragrances, and more. For further details on the ingredients we prohibit, refer to our comprehensive "Absolutely Not" list.

Are your products tested on animals?

None of our ingredients or products are tested on animals. We are Leaping Bunny Certified and approved by PETA

Is your packaging recyclable?

Generally, most of our packaging is recyclable or reusable. Please see our Packaging Page for more information on how we package our products and ways to recycle each packaging type.

Are your products certified organic?

All of our John Masters Organics products meet the more than 70% organic content threshold established by the USDA’s National Organic Program for Cosmetics, Body Care Products and Personal Care Products to qualify for the ‘Made with Organic Ingredients’ labeling category. Products that contain 95% or more organic content display the USDA-Certified Organic seal on their bottle.

Are your products vegan?

We define vegan as products that do not contain ingredients sourced from animals. Our products are vegan with the exception of the following: Deep Moisturizing Conditioner with Lavender & Avocado (includes honey), Hair Paste (includes honey), Hair Pomade (includes beeswax), Intensive Repair Shampoo with Honey & Hibiscus (includes honey), Intensive Repair Conditioner with Honey & Hibiscus (includes honey), and our Lip Calms (includes beeswax).

Are your products gluten-free?

We aim to create all our products without gluten. Yet, certain formulas may include specific types of wheat proteins to boost performance. For a comprehensive list of products without gluten, please reach out to our customer service team at online@johnmasters.com.

Are your products color-safe?

All our products are suitable for color and chemically treated hair. We avoid sulfates that may compromise color vibrancy or affect chemical treatments.

What is the shelf life of your products?

All products have a shelf life of 3 years unopened. Once opened, we suggest using all products within 6 months.

Do your products contain synthetic fragrances (parfums)?

Our products steer clear of synthetic fragrances, exclusively incorporating 100% naturally-derived essential oils.

Can natural and organic products work as well as over-the-counter products?

We firmly believe that harnessing the power of concentrated natural ingredients is key to delivering the performance and efficacy you deserve. Our carefully curated formulations are designed to work seamlessly, negating the necessity for cheap synthetic additives. We prioritize potent, natural elements that provide the results you expect without compromising on quality.

What is the PH Level of John Masters Organics products?

Our products are naturally balanced at PH levels between 4 and 6.

Are your products formulated with Parabens or Sodium Lauryl Sulfates?

No. John Masters Organics products are formulated without parabens and sodium lauryl sulfates. See our Absolutely Not List for more information regarding ingredients we pledge to formulate without. 

How do you certify the accuracy of your ingredient labels?

We ensure the accuracy of our ingredient labels through rigorous quality control measures and compliance with industry standards. Our formulations undergo thorough testing and verification processes to confirm the accuracy of listed ingredients. Additionally, we adhere to regulatory guidelines and obtain certifications from reputable organizations such as USDA Certified Organic and COSMOs Organic that specialize in ingredient verification.

Can I combine my points with other discounts?

Unfortunately, at this time we don’t allow you to combine your points with any other discount codes.

How do I leave the program?

If you no longer with to earn points, please contact us to be unenrolled.

Please note you will lose any points you have accrued.

Shipping & Returns

How long will it take to get my order?

All orders on Johnmasters.com are processed as quickly as possible, often within 48 hours. Orders placed during weekends and holidays are processed on the next business day. Once an order is processed and shipped, you will receive an email with a UPS tracking number. Our orders ship from the West Coast and typically take 2-7 business days to be delivered once they have been processed and shipped out. Please note, the number of transit days is not guaranteed by UPS. 

Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, and Guam will generally be sent using the U.S. Postal Service. 

The selection of overnight, 2-day, or 3-day shipping still requires standard processing time. Once processed and shipped out, it will arrive based on your shipping preference selection (two days, three days or overnight).

How much is shipping?

John Masters Organics offers free shipping on all U.S. orders over $75 and CAD orders over $150. No promotion code is required and free shipping credit will be added automatically when $75+ is added to the cart (for U.S. orders). For U.S. orders under $75, a flat shipping fee will be applied at checkout. For CAD orders under $150, a shipping fee will be calculated based on location and applied at checkout.

What should I do if I have an issue with my order?

We strive for 100% customer satisfaction and offer a 45-day risk-free guarantee on all of our products. If you are unsatisfied or have any issues with your order, please reach out to our customer service dept. at online@johnmasters.com and we will be happy to assist you.

Do you ship to Canada?

Yes, we offer shipping to all Canadian provinces. Please note, Canadian packages are subject to duties and taxes which are calculated at checkout. 

Can I order products outside of the U.S.?

Our website doesn't allow international shipping except for Canada. Fortunately, we have distributors across the globe who sell our products.

I never received my package, what should I do?

If your order never arrived, please contact us at online@johnmasters.com within 30 days of placing your order and we will help you to track it down or provide you with a replacement or refund.
